The Bible uses word pictures to describe events that will take place in the future. These word pictures can only be deciphered in the Spirit. It is vital that we start comprehending the mysteries that are written in the Bible in plain sight. The Bible talks about a woman named “Mystery Babylon” in Revelation 17. We know from direct reference that “Mystery Babylon” is a government or country that has a powerful influence over the nations of the world. We know at the time of this writing there is no specific reference to who this nation is. The woman is also referenced as the “Mother of harlots”. We believe that these references are word pictures of the United States.
Revelation 17: 16 - 18 (NKJV) 16 And the ten horns which you saw on the beast, these will hate the harlot, make her desolate and naked, eat her flesh and burn her with fire. 17 For God has put it into their hearts to fulfill His purpose, to be of one mind, and to give their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled. 18 And the woman whom you saw is that great city which reigns over the kings of the earth.”
When we look at these word pictures in these verses it appears that nothing nice is happening to this woman. The ten horns are considered to be ten states or countries that are coming against this woman. These ten countries have aligned themselves with the beast. The beast is a person and a picture of the governmental structure that satan has built in the End Times that will be in control of the world. The beast’s job is to bring every nation, tribe, and tongue into alignment with the antichrist spirit. These ten countries hate the woman, will make her desolate and naked. That is a picture of being left in complete poverty. These ten countries will eat her flesh and burn her with fire. That is a picture of consuming everything that the woman is and destroying what remains with fire. What happens to the woman is not good.
Verse seventeen says that God put it in the hearts of these ten countries to fulfill His purpose. These countries will be of one mind, and they will be submitted unto the beast until they complete the job of destroying this woman. Then verse eighteen says that this woman is the great city which reigns over the kings of the earth. We believe this to be a word picture of America. This is a Bible scripture that has not come to pass yet but this scripture will be fulfilled at some point in the End Times. The woman of Revelation 17 is going to be destroyed under the direct instruction and supervision of God.
Where are we at in this timeline from Revelation 17. I have no idea. However, we cannot ignore the spiritual and political climate that we are under right now. Spiritually, many Churches have closed because of Covid and this has directly contributed to a rise in the influence of the antichrist spirit in this country. The other churches that are open are half-saved, half-filled with the Spirit and they have purposely aligned themselves with the antichrist spirit thinking that they are doing what is right by God. They are not. They are apostate and show themselves to be in line with the beast and the antichrist spirit at every turn. Then there are the remnant Churches, they are small but fighting a great battle right now against the evil in the country, the evil in this world, and the evil in the Church.
Politically, we currently have a President who knows not Joseph. He is not a friend of the Church and does not care to be. He is a puppet and is being controlled a strong Ahab spirit that is really making all of the decisions. Many of these decisions are rules against God, against the Church and against any moral decency. Politically we are aligning ourselves with countries who do not like us. We are paying them money in the name of peace. We are undermining our own rights as a nation to satisfy Russia, Spain, Iran, Turkey, North Korea, Germany, China, Pakistan, United Kingdom, Canada, and France But we are currently dealing with more than ten countries who do not like us. If they had their way, they would destroy us in an instant.
Reading what you read and combining it with Revelation 17 how does our American mindset fit with God’s purpose for our future? President Trump moved the embassy from Tel-Aviv to Jerusalem, Israel. It’s fully funded and open. Israel does not need us anymore to do anything. They learned during the Obama administration that they could not depend on us. What purpose does America serve for God right now? The American mindset is that God has to keep America in order to fulfill His purposes in the earth.
The question that should be asked right now by every believer is what is God’s purpose for America? We can no longer hang onto our American way of interpreting the Bible. We must begin to ask God honest questions and then seek to understand the answers that God gives. No one wants to hear of the possibility that America will be destroyed. No one wants to hear of the possibility that God’s purpose for America is completed. Is it possible that this is true? We need to start reading the whole Bible, not just the parts that we like.
How are people going to learn about the fear of God if the Church never talks about things that rightfully should make them fearful? It is rare to hear a sermon on eternal damnation on the “Christian” airwaves. It is rear to hear a sermon on the coming judgment of God on the “Christian” airwaves. Yet the Bible is very clear about these events occurring in the future. If you do hear about sermon topics like these, they are picked apart by those who are apostate in the Church and the Body of Christ enters confusion. This should not be, but this is happening. Is the Church’s silence on these topics contributing to the demise of America?
America is the woman of Revelation 17. There are some ugly signs that are lining up that depict a possible future for America that is not good. What will the Church do with this information? Will they share it? Or bury it? Only time will tell.
