Did you Know you can Forfeit Your Privilege to Minister to God?

We live in an era where a segment of the priesthood of the American Church has become corrupted. This segment of the priesthood has compromised the Word of God. This priesthood helps the people build golden calves to worship, this priesthood sins with the people, and this priesthood ignores the statutes of God found in His holy word.

“That which has been is what will be, that which is done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun.” Ecclesiastes 1: 9 (NKJV).

There is truth in this proverb from king Solomon but do the people of God understand this truth? The same thing that is going on today with the American priesthood is a repeating of what happened with the Jewish priesthood. Yet, there is a remnant who have not bowed their knee to baal in the American priesthood. God is going to continue to use His remnant, this clean part of the American priesthood to do His signs, wonders, and miracles.

As for the priesthood that is corrupt, they will be held accountable by God. Do not think that they are getting away with the sins that they are coming against God and against the people. God is judging them. Some are concerned about them operating in their giftings even after their corruption has been exposed to the light. God has taken care of all of this as well. Look at Biblical history, when part of the Levites sinned against God, He forbad them from ministering to Him. They could minister to the people and minister in the sanctuary, but they were forbidden from ministering to God. If you are intimate with God you understand what a punishment this. Many don’t think about the possibility of never being able to minister to God. This should really cause serious thought amongst God’s people.

“Because they ministered to them before their idols and caused the house of Israel to fall into iniquity, therefore I have raised My hand in an oath against them,” says the Lord God, “that they shall bear their iniquity. And they shall not come near Me to minister to Me as priest, nor come near any of My holy things, nor into the Most Holy Place; but they shall bear their shame and their abominations which they have committed. Ezekiel 44: 12 – 13 (NKJV)

The responsibility that comes with serving in the priesthood is serious. Some take on this responsibility without understanding the full consequences of what can happen. It is not anything goes in the priesthood. There are standards. There are principles of right and wrong that must be adhered to in order to fulfill your obligation to God. Many are called but few are chosen to serve God in this capacity. Let us remember that God has chosen us for a reason. The loss of being able to minister to God is a consequence that should really cause you to examine yourself constantly. We must never take for granted the grace that God has given us in the priesthood. It’s a privilege to minister to God, not a right. You can have that privilege taken away from you. Selah.
