Article: "Mikhail Gorbachev, former Soviet Union President Passed Away This Week"
August 30, 2022, marked the death of a former Soviet Union President, Mikhail Gorbachev. For decades citizens of the United States have been taught to hate Russia. Whether this was justified or not it is where the American people are at today. Unbeknownst to us, God had a plan to use this man to end the Cold War between the United States and the former Soviet Socialist Republic of Russia.
We live in a time today where history is intentionally being rewritten. The good that men have done is being spoken of as if it were evil. This is the case with Mikhail Gorbachev. The Body of Christ should be more astute in its understanding of history. It has often been said that those who do not study history are doomed to repeat it. This is for the good and for the bad. Mikhail Gorbachev had a destiny to fulfill from God. His destiny was birthed forth through his mother who was a Spirit-filled born-again Christian.
My generation and prior generations were never taught this in school. All we were taught was that Russians were the devil and that they were completely evil. Still today many people don't know that there has always been a large Christian population behind the former Iron Curtain in Russia. They endured much persecution for Christ throughout their entire existence in the land that God placed them in. Still they served Him (Jesus Christ) with the hope that one day they would be free like we are here in the United States. If you were to tell me in my younger years that Russia would be a predominantly Christian nation, I would have mocked you to scorn. But this is how good God is, in every nation there is a remnant of people who have been set apart for Him.
Let me tell you the great things that a woman did in order to prepare her son to meet his destiny as a liberator of the Jewish & Christian people of his nation. She lived a life of holiness in front of Mikhail Gorbachev. She heard from the Spirit of what his destiny was to be. she was a loving, mother. Kind and filled with wisdom, she would bake him birthday cakes as a young child and she would remind him that God was going to use him to free His people. Seems strange to hear this. The people we thought were so evil could be even more Godly than us. Yet Mikhail Gorbachev’s mother was just such a person.
God did many things for Mikhail Gorbachev, leading, guiding every one of his steps throughout his entire life. Until the day came where he became president of the former United Socialist Soviet Republic. It was here in this spot in the government where his destiny would come to pass. The character that was implanted him by his mother was joined in force by our former President Ronald Reagan and Pope John Paul the 2nd. Somehow through the grace of God a way was made and Mikhail Gorbachev tore down the Berlin Wall in 1989. There were other occasions where Mikhail Gorbachev removed the barriers in the Spirit realm for the Jewish & Christian populations in Russia to be treated as equals. This man permitted the Jews who were held captive in Russia to go home to Israel. This fulfilled a prophecy that many thought would never come to pass.
God used this man to start a revolution in a country that was once thought irredeemable. Something to think about as we here in America sit in our hatred for the Russian people. We fail to understand the ways of the love of God. May we all meet our destinies like Mikhail Gorbachev. One day history will give him his proper respect. Selah!

The President came to the Central Clinical Hospital to pay his last respects to Mikhail Gorbachev, laying flowers at the coffin.
Mikhail Gorbachev died on August 30 at the age of 91.
