Confronting Your Own Heart and Living Free from Vexation

The truth that you know and apply to your life will set you free. We are in times where we need to confront our own hearts. We must begin to challenge ourselves because there are many vexations that are slamming the Body of Christ in this season. We must not give into the temptations to quit, ignore problems, or drift away into an alternate reality. We must stay grounded in reality, focused on truth, and vigilant on the tasks that we have before us. You cannot move through your difficulties if you do not acknowledge that they are real.

We must be like David in Psalm 61: 1 – 2, “Hear my cry, O God; attend to my prayer. From the end of the earth, I will cry to You, when my heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” We must be like Asaph in Psalm 73: 25 – 26, “Whom have I in heaven but You? And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You. 26 My flesh and my heart fail; But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”

If you are not prayerful and honest with God you could fall. If you let your eyes slip off the Lord and what He is doing you could fall. If you focus in on things that you are not supposed to focus on you could fall. Reality is a gift that is meant to keep us grounded and focused on the tasks that we are assigned. You cannot walk around in a bubble thinking everything is alright when it really is not. Denial of your situation is not faith.

When you can acknowledge your situations and circumstances and still praise the Lord, that is showing faith. Reminder, God does not need you to be strong. He needs you to remember that you need Him. Without Him you can do nothing. With Him, you can do everything. You cannot live in vexation of soul and do the works that God is calling you forth to do. You don’t have time to get into a pity party. You have to keep moving.

Acknowledge your stuff. Do not pretend that it isn’t there because it is and if you do not put things in proper perspective your stuff will take you out. Many people are turning away from the faith because things are getting hard. We cannot do this. We cannot afford to waste time licking our wounds. It is imperative that we keep moving. If you stop your dead. This is that serious.

The waters are getting dirtier and dirtier. If you stop moving you are going to be stuck and the reality is that if you get stuck, no one is coming to rescue you. Everyone is in a fight for their lives right now. This is hand to hand combat and there is blood everywhere. You have to keep moving and you have to keep swinging your sword. Selah.
